Senior Structural Design Engineer

Experience – 4 to 7 Years (Work Independently)

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and analyze structural elements such as beams, columns, slabs, trusses, and foundations for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
  • Prepare and review structural drawings, models, and technical specifications using CAD and structural analysis software.
  • Perform structural load calculations, material selection, and design optimization to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards (IS Codes, Eurocodes, etc.).
  • Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors to resolve design and construction issues.
  • Review and approve shop drawings and structural submissions from vendors and contractors.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor structural implementation and provide technical guidance.
  • Prepare project reports, design documents, and documentation for approvals and permits.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • Proven experience in structural design for buildings and infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAFE, AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, load calculations, and structural detailing.
  • Familiarity with relevant building codes and safety regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and coordination skills to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in seismic design and wind load analysis.
  • Knowledge of steel structure design and fabrication processes.
  • Certification in advanced structural engineering software or BIM tools.
  • Collaboration with architects, engineers, and project managers.
