Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Structural Design Engineer to design, analyze, and develop structural systems for various projects. The role involves working closely with architects, project managers, and construction teams to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective structural designs in compliance with relevant codes and standards.
Experience – 4 to 7 Years (Work Independently)
Key Responsibilities
- Design and analyze structural elements such as beams, columns, slabs, trusses, and foundations for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
- Prepare and review structural drawings, models, and technical specifications using CAD and structural analysis software.
- Perform structural load calculations, material selection, and design optimization to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards (IS Codes, Eurocodes, etc.).
- Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors to resolve design and construction issues.
- Review and approve shop drawings and structural submissions from vendors and contractors.
- Conduct site visits to monitor structural implementation and provide technical guidance.
- Prepare project reports, design documents, and documentation for approvals and permits.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Proven experience in structural design for buildings and infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAFE, AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, load calculations, and structural detailing.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes and safety regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and coordination skills to work in a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in seismic design and wind load analysis.
- Knowledge of steel structure design and fabrication processes.
- Certification in advanced structural engineering software or BIM tools.
- Collaboration with architects, engineers, and project managers.
